About All Creatures Great & Small

All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary has been serving the South Wales community since 1992. Our experience and commitment to animal welfare have earned us the excellent reputation we have today. We do not receive any funds from the Government or the Council so we rely on volunteers and donations/legacies from the public and Charitable Trusts to keep running. Here are some of the projects we've funded with donations and legacies.

The New Cattery

Our new cattery was funded by a very generous donation from the Jean Sainsbury Charitable Trust (the largest single donation they have made to an organisation). The cattery has 12 heated cabins with exercise pens; it was officially opened by Tony Wright, our Patron, in August 2006.

The New Sick Bay

Funds from a legacy were used to convert an old barn to a well-equipped Sick Bay. It was opened in summer 2006.

Our Values

At All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary, animals receive good quality care within our budget. We tirelessly campaign for a better quality of life for all animals and to do what we can to help them avoid any pain or unnecessary suffering.

Teamwork: We work closely together as a team to ensure each animal gets the best possible treatment. We are committed to the rehabilitation or rehoming of injured and orphaned animals, and work to end animal abuse. The team always operates with compassion and respect for all animals (and of course, each other).

All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary is proud of the work we do. We are here to help animals in whatever way we can.

Support from the Cats Protection League

The sanctuary is commited to high standards and accepts responsibility regarding all aspects of animal welfare. One of these responsibilities is neutering. All cats that are rehomed by the sanctuary are neutered, dependant on them being of the required age. Where they are not the required age, the sanctuary ensures that the new owner is informed of such and that the operation is carried out when the cat reaches that age. In both circumstances the Cats Protection League provide us with neutering vouchers that are presented to the vet after the operation is carried out thus saving a significant amount of money. The sanctuary is indebted to the league and their valuable support.
