Adopt A Dog
All Creatures Great and Small Animal Sanctuary is always looking for people to adopt cats that have been abandoned or rescued.
Currently in Need of a Loving Home
The following dogs are now available for adoption. Please Note: We do have other dogs for re-homing that are not detailed on these pages.
Charlie
Charlie is a lively 3 year old male Fox Terrier cross, he likes lots of excercise and playing. Charlie has been Neutered.
Kiera
Keira is a 10 month old, neutered, micro-chipped female Pug cross. She is a lovely dog who gets very excited and will "mouth" young children. She is good with dogs and has no history regarding contact with cats.
Patch
I am Patch, a 3 year old male Terrier. I am very lively and will require some training and lots of exercise. I am not very good with small children or cats. Patch has been castrated.
Megan
Megan is a female non neutered collie and is approximately between 2 and 4 years old. Megan was a stray and therefore we do not have any history about her. However, she is a friendly dog, once she is used to you, and would be suited in a home where she will be the only dog.
Archie
Archie is a 1 year old male, neutered labrador. He is a lovely dog who needs a fair amount of training. He pulls on the lead and is not good on recall. He is good with other dogs and has had no experience with cats.
Bouncer
Bouncer is a Very friendly, lively dog. Not been walked much and only on lead. He needs some training and is clean in the home. Bouncer is 12 months old and he is not micro chipped or neutered
Ruby & Boyd
Boyd and Ruby are Shar Peis and would like to be homed together. Boyd is a 4 year old neutered male and Ruby is a 4 year old non neutered female. They have lived with cats and children. Boyd is slightly nervous and is ok with other dogs. Ruby is fine with children but can be a bit temperamental with other dogs. Ruby can suffer with eye infections and haemorrhoids. She is overweight but with a better diet this can be improved.
Important Instructions
Please read the following notes before looking at the dogs:-
- The Sanctuary cannot rehome to a family where there is a child under 5 or where all the adults are at work all day.
- If you live in rented accommodation you need your landlord’s written consent to adopt. Please note that Torfaen Council does not permit tenants living in Council flats to adopt.
- A dog on trial adoption still belongs to the Sanctuary so you must not give the dog to anyone else; if you decide against adoption please return the dog to the Sanctuary.
- Prices are £110 (including neutering). Due to the current economic climate and lack of funding we have had to revise our adoption prices, we do hope that you understand, thank you.
- Home visits are required for all adopters. If you have a dog on trial adoption you pay for the dog at the end of the trial period.
- Rehoming hours are 2pm - 5pm, Monday to Saturday. If you would like more information on any of the animals available for adoption or you need advice on rehoming an animal please contact the Sanctuary on 01633 866144; if you get the answerphone please leave a landline (to keep costs down) for us to contact you.
