About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - Peggy isn't fond of the other cats in the cattery. She feels quite uneasy in their presence and tends to react aggressively if they come near her cabin. Therefore, she would thrive best as the sole pet in a household.
- Can I live with dogs? No - Because Peggy's background is unknown, she would be best suited for a home without dogs.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Potentially
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Peggy received a complete health examination at the vet, and no concerns were found. She was also spayed prior to arriving to the Sanctuary. She does have a small amount of tartar build-up on her teeth and could benefit from a dental cleaning in the future, but it is not necessary at this time.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Since Peggy has always been an outdoor cat who enjoys roaming, it would be unfair to confine her to an indoor environment after years of exploring the outdoors. Potential adopters should understand that there will be an adjustment period for cats in a new home. Many people, including Peggy's breeder, have informed us that she loves to wander away from home frequently, but we do not know the circumstances as to why.
Peggy came into our care as a “stray.” Local sources informed us that the family who had been caring for her moved out on June 16th. A nearby company, familiar with Peggy for over a year, noticed she was alone and took her to a local vet for a microchip scan. Unfortunately, the microchip was registered to her breeder, who was aware of Peggy’s owner and still had their contact details.
Despite the vet and breeder’s attempts to contact Peggy’s owner, no one stepped forward to claim her.
Peggy is a lovely older girl who thrives on attention. As a Bengal, she’s quite vocal and can be heard from quite a distance! She enjoys her one-on-one time with her humans and is looking for a companion to call her best friend.
The perfect home for Peggy would be a pet free environment where she can receive all the love and attention directed solely at her.
