- Can I live with other dogs? Yes - Amelie has a canine companion at the sanctuary, a male Labrador. She loves playing with him and is full of energy. She would thrive in a home with a dog that has a similar temperament and can match her lively spirit!
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? No - Given Amelie's energetic personality, she might accidentally knock over younger children. Therefore, she would be a better fit for a home with children aged 12 and older.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Amelie has undergone a comprehensive health check at the vets and no issues were found. She is scheduled to be spayed around November 2025 - per vet advise. We have no prior information as to whether she has already had her 1st season.
- Can I live with cats? No - Since Amelie was brought in as a stray, we lack information about her history and whether she has ever lived with a cat.
- Am I good on the lead? Yes - At just 9 months old, Amelie is currently undergoing lead training. She tends to pull a lot during walks and occasionally jumps up to try to bite the lead. With guidance from our dog behaviourist Gary Mathlin, adopters will receive tips on how to continue her training for lead walking. Amelie thoroughly enjoys going for walks and is an enthusiastic explorer!
Meet Amelie! Our vibrant and full of beans 9 month old Frenchie X Bulldog!
Amelie was brought to us as a stray, found wearing a bark collar without an ID tag, and her microchip provided no owner information. The bark collar was swiftly discarded! With her bold personality and a lot of love to give, Amelie adores her toys and loves receiving attention from her handlers. She absolutely loves playing tug of war, it’s her favourite game! Amelie is also quite the shredder when it comes to licky mats, bedding, and toys. Adopters should definitely keep anything that might normally be on the floor out of reach, or they might find it in pieces!
Being just a puppy, she is only starting out in life and needs to learn the basics of training. She will make a wonderful addition for anyone looking for an energetic dog who is ready to start from scratch!
