About me
- Can I live with other cats? Potentially - When he first arrived on our property at the end of September 2025, he didn't engage in any fights with our resident farm cats. However, after being caught and placed in our cattery, he has shown a tendency to launch himself at the door of some and appears quite dominant when walking down the corridor. This could just be down to the cattery environment.
 - Can I live with dogs? No - Since we lack background information on Ferris and his experience with dogs, it would be safer for him to be placed in a home without any dogs.
 - Can I live with teenagers? Yes
 - Can I live with young children? Potentially - 10+
 - Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Ferris is scheduled for a vet check within the next two weeks, but the date is not yet confirmed. Once it is, we will update his profile accordingly. Ferris is also not neutered at the moment.
 - Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Ferris needs to be an outdoor cat. His breed has a strong hunting instinct, and he loves being outside because of his high prey drive. Keeping him indoors would be quite unpleasant for him.

Meet Ferris!
Yes, he’s named after the film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off!
This little guy ran away from home and found his way to our property.
Ferris is a Savannah breed with a very high prey drive, making him unsuitable for homes with chickens, rabbits, or guinea pigs.
He first appeared on our site at the end of September 2025, and we were puzzled about his origins! He quickly showed interest in our chickens, even sadly managing to catch one, which then led to a close call with another!
After this incident, we lured him in with food, his ultimate motivation! We successfully caught him and placed him in our cattery to ensure he did not hurt any more of our animals! Surprisingly content in there, he is enjoying 3-4 meals a day. As long as he’s well fed, he’s a happy cat!
Given Ferris’s history, we will need to rehome him outside of the Sanctuary’s area, no one can adopt him within a 4 mile radius, as we have evidence of him wandering up to 2 miles away from home in the past.
Ferris is a friendly, talkative cat with a curious, youthful spirit. He loves to rub against your legs for attention, and if you have food in your pockets, you can be sure his head will be right in there! He’s an adventurous outdoor cat who just wants to explore wherever his paws take him!
