About me

  • Can I live with young children? No - Milkshake isn't ideal for a home with young children since she needs socialisation and handling. She would thrive best in a home with an adult who has experience with rats.
  • Do I have any medical issues? No - A vet has conducted a visual health check on Milkshake, and no concerns were identified. Milkshake is not neutered.
  • What is the reason for my surrender? I was found as a stray

Milkshake arrived with us after being discovered as a stray within the insulation of someone’s walls.

She is somewhat timid and will need support in building her confidence and getting accustomed to handling.

A home with experience in caring for rats and a good understanding of their needs would be ideal for her.

Key Points on Rat-Related Health Risks

– Rats can potentially transmit various diseases to humans through direct and indirect contact.

– Prevention: Maintain cleanliness in areas where rats may be present, and practice thorough hand washing to reduce the risk of infection.
