About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Potentially - Since arriving in our care, Dorito has interacted with both a spaniel and a Labrador. While he is cautious around them, he is comfortable being in the same space as them but tends to mostly ignore them. Dorito would likely thrive best in a home with a calm dog of a similar size.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes - In his previous home, Dorito lived with a 13 year old teenager who had been with the family since he was just 5 years old. We’ve learned that Dorito is accustomed to being around small children, and when they visited, he would often bring them a toy to start a game of fetch.
- Can I live with young children? Yes - Must be dog savvy
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Dorito has a vet health check booked for today, 18th March. We will update his write up following the appointment. He is currently fully vaccinated. Next vaccination due: 5th February 2027. He is not neutered at this time but we are querying an appointment with the vet.
- Can I live with cats? Yes - Dorito previously lived with two cats. Please note that we can only accept applications from homes where the cat has had prior experience living with a dog without any issues. Visits from dogs do not qualify.
- Am I good on the lead? Yes - Dorito is a pleasure to walk
- What was the reason for my surrender? Due to personal struggles within the home, Dorito's owners could no longer give him the care he needed. It was not a decision they made lightly.
- What am I like when I travel in a vehicle? Unknown at the moment - Dorito will be travelling to the vets today, 18th March. We will update his write up following the appointment.
Meet Dorito! (You can call him Toe!)
This little guy adores cuddles and is highly motivated by food! If he senses treats in your pocket, he’ll do his best to get to them! His current favourite snack is cheese.
Dorito is truly such a friendly and confident little boy who needs to get back to some normality asap!
