About me
- Can I live with other cats? Potentially - Drumstick might get along well with other cats. According to his previous owners, he has been fine around them, and he doesn’t appear to be disturbed by the other cats within the cattery.
- Can I live with dogs? Potentially - Drumstick might get along well with cat savvy dogs. According to his previous owners, he is fine around them. Please note that we can only accept applications from homes where the dog has had prior experience living with a cat without any issues.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Yes - Drumstick previously lived in a home with two children, aged 10 and 8.
- Do I have any medical issues? No - Drumstick recently visited the vet for a severely broken leg, which unfortunately had to be amputated (this was before he arrived into our care). He is awaiting a castration appointment and is currently not vaccinated. Once his amputation site has fully healed, we will consult with the vet about neutering.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Drumstick has always enjoyed outdoor access, but given that he now has three legs, his mobility may be a bit slower. We recommend a calm, low to 0 traffic area for him to explore safely. We would not consider rehoming him to a location near busy roads or railway lines anyway per our policy for all cats, so it’s important that the environment is tranquil to allow Drumstick to wander outside comfortably.
- What was the reason for my surrender? Drumstick's family felt they could no longer give him the home he deserves. They stated to us that they found it extremely difficult caring for him when he had 4 legs & was even more neglected when he had his amputation.
