About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Yes - Peach has interacted with two staff dogs during her time in our care, and she absolutely loves both of them. She greets other dogs in a very appropriate and polite manner. She might be able to coexist with another dog, pending a meet and greet on site with the selected applicants.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Potentially - Peach might be suitable for households with dog savvy children aged 6 and older. She hasn't had experience living with young children, and her energetic nature could lead to accidental knock overs! For this reason, we advise against her being around children younger than 6.
- Do I have any medical issues? No - Peach has undergone a thorough health check at the vet, and everything looks good. She is scheduled for her 2nd vaccination on the 3rd June 2026. Currently, she has not been spayed and is entering her season, so we will need to postpone her surgery for now.
- Can I live with cats? Potentially - Peach has no prior experience living with cats, so we can't predict how she would react to one. However, we would be open to considering applications from homes where the cat is dog savvy and has previously lived with dogs without any issues. Please keep in mind that visits from dogs do not qualify. Peach does not react to seeing our farm cats on site, when she is out for a walk.
- Am I good on the lead? No - Peach has very little experience walking on a lead, so she tends to pull quite a bit. The team is currently working with her on loose lead walk training. Adopters should be steady on their feet and willing to continue her training.
- What was the reason for my surrender? Unfortunately, Peach's family no longer had the time to care for her, so they made the difficult decision to find her a new home.
- What am I like when I travel in a vehicle? Peach was really good during her trip to the vet, traveling comfortably in a crate inside the van without any issues.
- Do I have any fears? Not that we know of!
Peach is an energetic, gorgeous dog in search of a new home!
She has a vibrant spirit and often zooms toward you with her positive energy, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and infectious enthusiasm. Truly, she is LOVELY and brings endless happiness wherever she goes!
While she isn’t particularly interested in toys, she is highly motivated by food and loves receiving attention from her favourite people. Currently, Peach is a bit on the chubby side and could benefit from a diet!
Peach has a wiggly personality and finds it hard to stay still! Even putting on her harness requires a special technique: one person holds treats to keep her still while the other fastens the harness clip by clip.
Having always lived outdoors, Peach has never been in a home environment, so she may require some house training. We’re happy to assist adopters with this, and we’re confident that Peach will learn quickly!
Peach was previously used for work for some years, but this was not consistent.
Ideally, her new adopters should have experience with working spaniels or familiarity of owning that breed.
