About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - Fable’s previous owners advised against her living with other cats, as her behaviour significantly changed after her sister's passing. When other cats were around, Fable would refuse to enter the home, seek food elsewhere, and avoid the house entirely. She has been known to share outdoor spaces with cats without issue but for this reason, we recommend that she be rehomed as the sole cat in the household.
- Can I live with dogs? No - Fable is not used to dogs
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Potentially - 8+ - Fable has come from a home with children aged 8 and over.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Fable has a hypersensitivity to flea dirt, resulting in a heightened flea allergy. Since being in our care, she has been treated for fleas, and the bald spots on her back end, legs, and around her eyes are beginning to improve. We believe her over grooming was also linked to this issue, along with stress. Potential adopters should be aware of this condition.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Fable has always had access to the outdoor & apparently loves exploring!
- What was the reason for my surrender? Fable was surrendered because her owner felt she was struggling to adjust to living with the other three cats in the home. They believed she would thrive better as a single cat in a new environment.
Fable is a sweet and calm girl who prefers not to be handled too much. From our observations, she tends to approach you when she’s ready. Her previous owner mentioned that she enjoys chin scratches and can be quite playful with toys when she’s in the mood!
