- Can I live with young children? Yes
- Do I have any medical issues? Yes - Butch has been examined by a vet and is currently undergoing treatment for ringworm, which he unfortunately arrived at the sanctuary with. He is in quarantine and is being kept separate from all other animals. He is scheduled for a follow up visit to the vet during the week of the 14th September to assess the effectiveness of the medication. If the vet gives the go ahead, we will then discuss scheduling a neutering appointment. We will provide an update on this write up after the appointment.
- What was the reason for my surrender? In his previous home, there was a kitten that constantly bothered him, causing him distress. As a result, the owners made the decision to rehome him for his safety and wellbeing.
Introducing Butch! 🙂
Butch is a friendly and confident guinea pig who doesn’t mind being handled. Unlike many guinea pigs we encounter, who are often frightened and skittish when approached, Butch has a calm and gentle demeanour. He sadly arrived too us caked in his own faeces & had to be bathed immediately as we couldn’t even see his feet!
He may be a great candidate for companionship with a female guinea pig once he is neutered. He truly is a lovely boy.Â
