About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - As not much is known about my past, and I’m very shy here in the cattery, I think I would be happiest in a calm, quiet home where I can be the only pet and have the time and space I need to build my confidence.
- Can I live with dogs? No
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes - I can be a little scared and temperamental when frightened, so I would be best suited to a calm, patient home with people aged 18 or over.
- Can I live with young children? No
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - I’ve visited the vets, but I was too scared to be handled! I’m due back on the 10th November 2026 for a full health check, 2nd vaccination, spay status & microchip implant. I’ll need gabapentin to help calm my nerves, as I can get a little spicy when handled!
- Can I live as an indoor cat? Potentially - As I came into care as a stray, it’s uncertain how I’ll adapt to indoor life. An indoor only home may be possible, which can be discussed with the Animal Welfare Assistants after a successful meet and greet.
- What was the reason for my surrender? I came into the rescue as a stray from the Pontypool area, and sadly, no one came forward to claim me 💔
Meet Dana!🐈⬛
I’m a very reserved little black cat who is dreaming of finding a quiet, peaceful home where I can finally feel safe. 🖤🐈⬛
I can be a little temperamental at times, but my handlers believe that’s only because I’m nervous and still learning to trust. I’m looking for a patient, cat savvy owner who understands cats like me and will give me the time, space and understanding I need.
I haven’t quite shown everyone my true personality just yet, as I’m still keeping myself to myself. Hopefully, as I begin to feel more comfortable, my lovely carers will get to know the real me and share more updates about my progress. 🐾
