About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Potentially - Arthur has previously cohabited with three other dogs of similar size without any issues. Additionally, he has interacted positively with a staff member's male Spaniel, demonstrating a friendly rapport!
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? No - Since Arthur needs a significant amount of attention, he would be suitable for a home with children aged 12 and older.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Arthur is scheduled for a vet check-up on April 23rd. We will update his log following this appointment.
- Can I live with cats? No - Given Arthur's breed and his lack of experience living with cats, it would be preferable for him to be placed in a home without them.
- Am I good on the lead? Yes
Arthur is a spirited Whippet Spaniel cross who embodies boundless energy and enthusiasm. He runs with the grace of a whippet and has a knack for counter surfing akin to a spaniel.
Throughout his journey, Arthur has had several homes. His most recent family adopted him approximately two years ago as a ‘free to a good home’ dog from an online advertisement. Unfortunately, they faced the difficult decision to entrust him to our Sanctuary due to their inability to provide the attention and care he deserves. We understand that his last home had him for about two years, but details about his first four years remain a mystery.
Currently, Arthur is in excellent health for his age [pending a veterinary check-up Wednesday 23rd April] and will flourish in an active household that offers ample time and space for play. He is suitable for families with older children and has had experience living with other dogs, though he may prefer a home where he can enjoy the company of humans without competing for attention from other pets.
Ideal for a rural or semi-rural setting, Arthur is not cut out for city living or a high-rise apartment. He is ready to find a loving home that matches his vibrant spirit!
