About me

  • Can I live with other cats? Potentially - Barley's rescuers brought her in from the street and mentioned she was friendly with their cat at home. Unfortunately, their cat didn't warm up to her, so they decided to transfer her into our care. Barley appears unfazed by the other cats in the cattery.
  • Can I live with dogs? No - Given Barley's timid nature, we believe she may struggle to adapt in an environment with a dog.
  • Can I live with teenagers? Yes - 16+
  • Can I live with young children? No - As Barley can be shy around adults, she would suit a home without young children
  • Do I have any medical issues? No - When Barley arrived, she was suffering from a severe stomach issue, possibly due to a parasite. After a treatment of Panacur and probiotics, she has shown significant improvement! She seems much brighter and happier now. Barley has a vet appointment scheduled for February 9th for microchipping and to check for a spay scar. This will help determine if she has already been neutered or if she will need to undergo the procedure that day.
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? Yes - Barley's rescuers reported that she showed no desire to go outside and appeared frightened at the idea. She was quite happy to remain indoors.
  • What was the reason for my surrender? Barley was found wandering the streets as a stray

Introducing Barley! This adorable cat is petite and smaller than you might expect for her age, reminiscent of a Munchkin cat but doesn’t quite have the stumpy legs!

Barley is a gentle soul who tends to be shy when you first enter her space. However, with a quiet and calm demeanor, she will gradually come closer to you. Being food driven, tasty meats and Dreamies are the best way to win her heart! She is truly adorable.
