About me
- Can I live with young children? No - Bunion would thrive in a home with adults only, considering his potential medical needs. Please see his medical section for more details.
- Do I have any medical issues? Yes - Bunion came to us with a parasite called Encephalitozoon Cuniculi. For further information, please click the attached link attached to the top of his main bio. In October 2025, he was treated with a 28 day course of Panacur (liquid), and had further blood tests done. He then went on a further 31 days course of this & is now back on another 20 days course. The blood test that was conducted in December 2025 had shown that the first treatment was sadly not effective. The vets have advised against neutering him, as there is a risk that head tilts and other symptoms related to the parasite may worsen after anaesthesia, making the procedure too risky. Additionally, Bunion is 70% blind, and the vets recommend treating him as if he’s completely blind to prepare for potential sight degeneration. He would be best suited to an indoor only home, but we are still open to applications from those with an outdoor setup. For further information, please email into us & request to speak to a member of the Animal Welfare Team. Bunion is fully vaccinated, this was done before he arrived into our care. Nobivac Myxo-RHD PLUS - Next vaccination due: 18th September 2026. YURVAC RHD - Next vaccination due: 10th March 2027. Next bloods due: around the 6th April
- What was the reason for my surrender? Bunion's owner took on a rescue dog that sadly didn’t get along with him, which then resulted in Bunion being very scared within the home.

Introducing Bunion!
Say hello to Bunion, a spirited little guy bursting with love and personality! This gentle rabbit is full of charm and confidence, ready to bring joy to your home.
Bunion is on the lookout for a cozy place where he can unwind and enjoy a stable routine. He is litter trained, which makes him a wonderful companion. As he’s gradually losing his sight, he’ll thrive best in an environment that remains consistent, allowing him to easily navigate and adapt.
With his long coat, Bunion will require regular grooming to prevent his fur from becoming matted. He’s perfectly fine with being brushed and is currently groomed once a week while under our care.
At our sanctuary, Bunion enjoys a spacious insulated shed and a fantastic outdoor run, complete with a tunnel that leads him to his favourite outdoor adventures!
