About me
- Can I live with other cats? No - Edith initially arrived with her son, Stevie. Unfortunately, after a few weeks, they were separated due to conflicts, as Edith exhibited bullying behaviour towards him. Stevie, unfortunately, did not defend himself, and Edith caused him several wounds that required antibiotic treatment. Since their separation, both have shown significant improvement in their well-being. Edith does not get along well with the other cats at the cattery. When she sees them through the glass, she attempts to assert her dominance. Therefore, she would thrive in a home where she is the only pet.
- Can I live with dogs? No - Edith has no prior experience living with dogs and is fearful of them. She would be best suited to a home where she is the only pet.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Potentially - Edith may be able to coexist with young children, provided they respect her personal space. She is quite the foodie, so she might be inclined to sneak food if the children have any!
- Do I have any medical issues? Yes - Edith currently has a grade 3 heart murmur; however, no medication is necessary at this time. Regular veterinary check-ups will be required to monitor her condition.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - In her previous home, Edith had access to a cat flap, allowing her to go outside at her convenience.
Edith first arrived at our Sanctuary with her son, Stevie. Initially, they faced challenges adjusting from their spacious home to a more confined environment in our cat cabin. Unfortunately, Edith was often the instigator in their disputes, resulting in a few wounds on Stevie that required antibiotic treatment. For their well-being, it was determined that separation would be in their best interest. Edith can be a spirited girl when she feels her space is encroached upon!
Their relocation was prompted by a change in their owner’s household, as the owner’s girlfriend moved in with her dog, which did not get along with cats. Concerned for their safety, the owner made the compassionate decision to entrust Edith and Stevie to our care.
We are delighted to share that Stevie has found his forever home, while Edith continues to hold on to hope for her own loving family.
Edith would thrive in a home where she is the only pet. A true foodie at heart, she will go to great lengths for a tasty treat. When she spots an open pack of biscuits on the trolley, you can be sure she’ll be right there! We often find teeth marks on any packet in the cattery, and it’s a sure sign that Edith has been around!
If you’re looking for a loving companion who adds a bit of excitement to mealtime, Edith might just be the perfect fit for you!
