About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Yes - Gretchen may be suitable for cohabitation with another dog. During her time in our care, she has interacted with a dog of comparable size without any issues. Additionally, she remains unfazed by the presence of other dogs while on walks.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Yes - Gretchen warmly greets everyone she encounters with a wagging tail and cheerful demeanour. We believe she may be well-suited to living with young children in the home.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Gretchen has undergone a veterinary health assessment while in our care. The examination revealed the presence of a mammary mass, which may require further investigation. Additionally, she is pending hormonal evaluations to clarify her spay status, as it is currently uncertain. We are also awaiting results from her urine sample, due to a suspected UTI.
- Can I live with cats? No - Since Gretchen was found as a stray and was not reclaimed, we do not have any information regarding her history with cats. Given her breed, it is advisable for her to be placed in a home without any.
- Am I good on the lead? Yes - Gretchen is a delightful companion on walks. She thoroughly enjoys her time outdoors and would happily play football and fetch all day if given the opportunity. She is content to walk at her handler's pace and frequently checks in for treats and affection.
Gretchen arrived at our Sanctuary after being found as a stray in the Pontlottyn area, located within the Heads of the Valleys. Unfortunately, no one came forward to claim her, and after serving her required seven-day hold, she is now ready to find her new home.
Regrettably, Gretchen was not microchipped upon her arrival, leaving us uncertain of her exact age. However, a veterinary estimate suggests she is approximately 10 years old, and she is in excellent condition for her age.
This lively and spirited girl truly loves the outdoors. She enjoys adventurous walks and has a particular fondness for playing football and engaging in water activities in our paddling pools.
