About me

  • Can I live with other cats? Potentially - Hera is currently in our mother and baby unit alongside another mother and her kittens. We can’t yet determine how she interacts with other cats, as she won’t be moved to our cattery until her kittens are fully weaned. So far, Hera and the other mother, Ember, have exchanged a few hisses from a distance, as they are housed in separate cabins and do not have direct contact. This behaviour could be attributed to their protective instincts, given that they both have two kittens to care for. We will update this write up once Hera transitions to our cattery around the beginning of June.
  • Can I live with dogs? No - Since Hera was a stray, we have no information on whether she has had any previous experiences with dogs.
  • Can I live with teenagers? Yes
  • Can I live with young children? Yes - Hera is a sociable & friendly cat, so we believe she would do well with considerate & sensible children.
  • Do I have any medical issues? No - Hera has received a full health check since being in our care & the vet has no concerns. She is currently with her kittens, who were born on April 9th 2026. Since they are still nursing, she won’t be ready for rehoming until they are fully weaned, however, we are still accepting adoption applications in the meantime. Hera is not spayed or vaccinated at the moment but she will be spayed once the vets are happy to sign off (July/August time)
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? Potentially - We don't have any information on whether Hera has been an indoor cat in the past, as she was a stray. However, that could be a possibility, though we can’t say for certain.
  • What was the reason for my surrender? Hera was discovered as a stray in poor condition, she was underweight, heavily pregnant and had multiple wounds on her neck.
