About me

  • Can I live with other cats? No - Iris has always been an only cat. Considering her age, it's best to keep her in a familiar environment by rehoming her to a household without other cats, allowing her to continue being the sole feline.
  • Can I live with dogs? No - Iris has never been around dogs and tends to become timid and nervous when she sees them outside. For her comfort, it would be best to rehome her to a household without dogs.
  • Can I live with teenagers? Yes
  • Can I live with young children? No - Iris is not accustomed to children, and her previous owner noted that she is sensitive to loud noises, often becoming easily startled. It's important to consider a calm environment for her where she can feel secure.
  • Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Iris is scheduled for a health check on January 8th. We will update her write up following the appointment
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Iris has primarily been an indoor cat, but until recently, she enjoyed exploring the outdoors in her previous home. She loves spending time in the garden and tends to stay close by, not wandering far from her safe space. Due to her enjoying the outdoors so much, it would now be unfair on her to revert back to being an indoor cat only.
  • What was the reason for my surrender? My owner was moving away to a different country

Iris is a familiar face, having originally joined us a few years ago! Previously known as Sasha, this sweet girl is now 16 years old. It’s heart-breaking to see her back in our cattery after all this time.

You wouldn’t guess Iris is 16, she looks and behaves much younger! With her gentle nature and affectionate demeanour, she deserves a serene retirement home where she can enjoy her golden years in comfort and be pampered by her new family.
