About me
- Can I live with other cats? Potentially - Since we are uncertain about who was instigating the fights, Lois or Trevor, it would be best for Lois to be rehomed as the only cat in the household.
- Can I live with dogs? No
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? No - 16+
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - On October 16th 2025, Lois underwent a dental procedure due to the deteriorating condition of her teeth. During this visit, blood was also drawn to test for anaemia, as her gums appeared somewhat pale. The dental examination indicated that she was missing three teeth, but the remaining ones were thoroughly cleaned. Lois returned for another set of blood tests on October 23rd, with results showing an increase in her red blood cells, which pleased the vet. We have been advised to bring her back for another blood test in three months (if she is still in our care). Unfortunately, Lois experienced significant stress at the vet's and required a dose of gabapentin the night before and the morning of her appointment to help calm her nerves. Additionally, Lois was spayed by us when she first entered our care in 2020.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No
- What was the reason for my surrender? My owner unfortunately faced health issues that made it difficult for them to care for me & another cat in the home
Meet Lois Lane!
Lois first joined us back in 2019 and was adopted that same year. Unfortunately, she has now returned to us for rehoming for a second time. Her owner could no longer care for her and their other cat due to ill health, prompting them to reach out and ask us to take Lois back.
Formerly known as Missy in 2019, Lois is an older girl in need of some stability after experiencing significant changes in her life. She previously lived with another cat, Trevor, who is also available for rehoming. Due to reports of fighting in their previous home, Lois and Trevor are currently housed in separate cabins, and it would be best for them to be rehomed individually.
While Lois enjoys a bit of attention, she will clearly communicate when she has had enough. She would thrive in a cat-experienced home without children. Since returning to our cattery, Lois has adapted remarkably well, showing no signs of hiding or fear. She happily eats her food and is not a fussy eater, displaying quite a confident personality!
It’s important to note that Lois has a tendency to avoid her litter tray at times, opting to go to the bathroom wherever she chooses, according to her previous owner. She will occasionally use the tray. Since we are currently waiting for her blood test results, we will consult with the vet to determine if there is a specific medical reason for this behaviour.
