About me
- Can I live with other cats? Potentially - Maureen previously shared her home with another cat but has been on her own for several years. Given her age, she may thrive in a household with a cat that has a similar calm demeanour. We don’t think she would do well with a young, energetic kitten, as that might be too much for her. Alternatively, she is quite accustomed to being the sole cat and can comfortably continue living independently, as she has for many years.
- Can I live with dogs? No - Maureen is not used to dogs
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? No - In her previous home, Maureen was accustomed to visits from grandchildren, but she wasn't particularly interested in being petted by them. Instead, she often preferred to spend her time outdoors, as she loved being outside nearly all the time. For this reason, we believe she would thrive better in an adult only home.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Maureen recently underwent a comprehensive health check at the vet, and they confirmed that she is fit and healthy. Since we don’t have any prior medical records for her, the vets suspect she is probably spayed. However, they advised us to keep an eye out for any signs of being in season. If we don’t notice any such behaviour, it’s likely she has been spayed. Maureen is fully vaccinated with her next booster due on the 6th August 2027.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Maureen has always adored being outdoors, and her previous owners provided her outdoor cat house when they brought her to us. We will make this available to her new adopters if they would like to take it.
- What was the reason for my surrender? Maureen's owner sadly passed away, leaving the family heartbroken and in a difficult situation to find her a new home. They were very saddened to say goodbye and part with her.
Maureen is an incredibly sweet old lady in search of a retirement home. She enjoys baking biscuits and has adjusted wonderfully to life in the cattery.
