About me

  • Can I live with other cats? Yes - Moss came in with another cat named Sienna, who is female. They had lived together before being surrendered to us. To avoid any unwanted pregnancies, they have been kept apart since both are unneutered. Once they undergo their neutering procedures, there’s a possibility they could be rehomed together. Both cats remain unfazed by the other cats in the cattery.
  • Can I live with dogs? Potentially - Moss hasn’t had any experience with dogs, but considering his age, he might adapt well to living with a calm, cat savvy dog. He encountered a staff member's Labrador, and although he was initially unsure, he showed curiosity in observing their behaviour. Please note that we can only accept applications from homes where the dog has previously lived with a cat without any issues.
  • Can I live with teenagers? Yes
  • Can I live with young children? Yes - Moss came from a home where there were two, 4 year old children present
  • Do I have any medical issues? No - Moss has received a full vet check up since being in our care. He is scheduled to be neutered & chipped on the 23rd April 2026. He is currently not vaccinated at this time.
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? Yes - Moss has always been an indoor cat, but given his young age, he may adapt well to having the opportunity to explore the outdoors safely.
  • What was the reason for my surrender? Moss's previous owners had him for only five weeks, unfortunately, as their child began experiencing allergic reactions to their fur, making it impossible for them to keep both cats in the home.

When Moss first arrived, he was quite frightened in our cattery and struggled to acclimate to his new environment. Most of the time, he would hide under his blankets at every opportunity and only eat when we weren’t around, typically at night. His life has been greatly disrupted, and he may need some time to adjust to a new home and come out of his shell. He requires patient adopters who can offer him the time he needs.

It only took Moss about a week to start feeling more comfortable with us. He now approaches us for affection and has a constant purr that can be heard from quite a distance! He’s a very cuddly boy who enjoys being handled.
