About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Yes - As a young pup, Nash is likely to adapt well to living with another dog for guidance and companionship. For successful applicants, we’ll invite them to our site for a meet and greet with their dog. Nash is currently enjoying doggy playdates at the sanctuary with staff dogs of all shapes and sizes, helping her maintain positive socialisation levels!
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? No - 7+ - dog savvy. Although Nash is still a puppy, her breed gives her an incredibly high energy level, and she can be quite nibbly as she’s currently teething. Because of this, she wouldn’t be suitable for households with very young children.
- Do I have any medical issues? No - Nash has undergone a complete health check at the vet, and no concerns were noted. They estimate her age to be around 12 weeks. She is scheduled for her 2nd vaccination on the 1st July 2026. Currently, she is not yet spayed, as she is too young for the procedure. We will follow veterinary advice regarding the appropriate timing for this. Additionally, she is up to date on her flea and worming treatments.
- Can I live with cats? No - Nash has observed our farm cats from a distance and reacts by barking and growling when they aren't even doing anything, she has also tried to chase them. Given her breed and genetics, we believe it would be best for her to be placed in a cat free home.
- Am I good on the lead? Potentially - It’s uncertain if Nash has ever been walked on a lead or harness. Considering her age, it’s highly likely that she hasn’t. We will begin this process very soon when she is a little older (& fully vaccinated), to get her used to walking equipment & a routine.
- What was the reason for my surrender? Nash's previous owners decided they could no longer care for her. She was found on the side of the road by someone who contacted her owners for confirmation as to whether they wanted her back. That person was then unable to keep her due to already having several dogs themselves.
- What am I like when I travel in a vehicle? Absolutely fine, Nash is crate trained
- Do I have any fears? Not that we know of!
Meet Nash! Short for “Nasher.”
Nash is an exceptionally bold and confident little girl bursting with energy! We’ve never encountered a puppy quite like her. Currently in foster care, she’s learning all the basics and participating in regular doggy socialisation sessions at the sanctuary to help her make friends easily in the future. True to her terrier nature, she loves to chase cats and rag toys! We believe she’s a mix of Border Terrier and another terrier breed. This lively little girl is seeking adopters who have experience with high energy terrier breeds!
