About me
- Can I live with young children? Potentially
- Do I have any medical issues? No - Rhino has never required a vet visit while in our care, as he has consistently maintained a clean bill of health. Our staff conducts weekly health checks on him. While Rhino does have a few bald spots on his back, we believe this is due to stress from losing his brother. There are no signs of mites, and he has already been treated for them, including his enclosure.
- What was the reason for my surrender? Rhino's family had to relocate to a place that didn't permit pets
Rhino has been in our care since May 2025, initially alongside his companion, Bolt. Tragically, Bolt passed away in December 2025, leaving Rhino feeling lost and alone, desperately seeking companionship.
When he first arrived, Rhino was quite nervous, but over time, he has warmed up to us. Now, he comes out to greet us and approaches for a snack, though he can still be a bit skittish when being handled. It’s lovely to see how far he has come, but his loneliness remains palpable.
Rhino could potentially be paired with a neutered female, please check his medical section for details on his current neuter status. Alternatively, our vets have advised that he may also thrive as a solo guinea pig if a companion isn’t possible. What’s most important is that Rhino finds a loving home soon, he truly deserves to escape the confines of rescue and feel the warmth of a home again.
