About me

  • Can I live with other cats? No - Shiva's previous family informed us that she isn't fond of other cats and prefers her own company. She also tends to growl when she sees the other cats in the cattery.
  • Can I live with dogs? No - Shiva has never lived with dogs & therefore wouldn't be suited to a home with one
  • Can I live with teenagers? Yes
  • Can I live with young children? No - Shiva lived with older children in her previous home but as she can be a little spicy at times, a home without young children present would be best.
  • Do I have any medical issues? No - Shiva has had a full vet check up with no concerns noted. She is not currently vaccinated and was spayed by us when she first came into our care in 2015.
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Shiva always had access to a cat flap in her previous home.
  • What was the reason for my surrender? Shiva's owners were relocating to a property that doesn't permit pets

Meet Shiva, a cat with a vibrant personality and an abundance of love to share!

Shiva was part of our family back in 2015 when she came in for rehoming alongside another cat named Rain. Fast forward 11 years, and sadly, she has returned to us because her owners were moving and couldn’t take her along. They were understandably heartbroken.

Shiva seeks out affection, happily coming to us for some attention. It’s clear she thrives on human companionship and has developed a strong connection with her caregivers. However, she will let you know when she’s had enough, as she doesn’t tolerate excessive handling, who can blame her?

When it comes to food, Shiva has a discerning palate and prefers gourmet meals, she truly is a pampered princess.

Vet visits can be a bit stressful for her, and during her last appointment, she needed a dose of gabapentin. She just needs to learn to relax in those situations, although she isn’t fond of being examined too much. Fortunately, she is in great health and doesn’t need to return anytime soon!

This lovely girl simply craves a stable environment. As an only pet, we believe she will quickly adapt to a new home, especially if she’s showered with affection, she’ll be in her oils!
