About me
- Can I live with other cats? Yes - Both cats can coexist with other felines, as they previously lived with two other cats in their former home. However, Sweep (the black and white one) tends to be somewhat dominant when it comes to food.
- Can I live with dogs? Yes - Both cats have previously lived with a dog. Please be aware that we can only accept applications from homes where the dog has cohabited with a cat successfully in the past. A dog that has only visited family homes or encountered a cat during walks does not meet this requirement.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Yes - 8+ - Sweep is the more outgoing of the two when it comes to strangers, while Sooty tends to be more reserved and may take some time to warm up. Both cats have previously lived with a three year old in their former home.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Both cats have undergone a comprehensive vet health check while in our care. This assessment indicated that they both require dental work, which is scheduled for January 28th. Both cats were already neutered before coming into our care.
- Can I live as an indoor cat? No - Both cats have always had access to the outside world
- What was the reason for our surrender? Unfortunately, a change in circumstances at home required us to be signed over to ACGAS rescue in order to find a new safe haven.
Sooty and Sweep are a bonded pair of cats searching for a new forever home!
Sooty, the older of the duo, has a sleek black coat and a calm disposition. He tends to be quieter and more reserved compared to his lively companion, Sweep. Sooty enjoys his Dreamies and will approach for affection when he feels comfortable. Please keep in mind that these observations are only based on their behaviour in a cattery setting.
Sweep, on the other hand, is a bundle of confidence and clearly takes charge in their relationship. While they share their space and meals harmoniously, Sweep can be a bit possessive, often swiping Sooty aside for treats. His dominant personality shines through in their interactions.
Both cats cherish the individual time they spend with their caregivers, making them wonderful companions for those who can offer them love and attention.
