About me

  • Can I live with other cats? No - I think I would be happiest in a home where I am the only cat. When I was first found as a stray, my lovely rescuer took me into their home, but unfortunately, I didn’t get along with their resident male cat and we ended up having a few disagreements. I wasn’t neutered at the time, which may have played a part in my behaviour. However, as not much is known about my past or how I’ve previously been around other cats, it’s probably best that I have a home all to myself.
  • Can I live with dogs? Potentially - I previously stayed in a home with a dog without any issues, and I’ve also been calm around dogs at the vets. 🐶 I could potentially live with a dog, but my carers will only accept applications where the resident dog has previously lived with a cat without any issues. Visiting homes with cats doesn’t count.
  • Can I live with teenagers? Yes
  • Can I live with young children? Potentially - As I came into rescue as a stray, not much is known about my past. However, I did temporarily stay in a home with 9 month old twins and wasn’t bothered by them at all! 👶
  • Do I have any medical issues? No - I’ve had a full health check at the vets and everything is looking good! 🩺 I’ve received my first vaccination, with my second booked for the 25th November 2026. I was also neutered by Cats Protection before arriving to ACGAS.
  • Can I live as an indoor cat? Potentially - As I came into care as a stray, it’s uncertain how I’ll adapt to indoor life. An indoor only home may be possible, which can be discussed with the Animal Welfare Assistants after a successful meet and greet.
  • What was the reason for my surrender? I came into the rescue as a stray found in the Abergavenny area, and sadly, no one came forward to claim me 💔

Meet me, Squid! 🦑🐾

I’m a friendly, confident boy with lots of love to give! ❤️

I was found as a stray in a rural area, so my rescuers believe I may not be used to busy roads or traffic, as I’ve likely spent my time exploring the countryside! 🌳

I’m a very adaptable little chap and haven’t been fazed by the change from life on the outside to life in the cattery!

I absolutely love attention and fuss, and I’ve shown my carers just how sweet and affectionate I can be! I’m now hoping to find my very own forever home where I can enjoy plenty of love, cuddles and adventures! 🏡
