About me
- Can I live with young children? Yes - Both rats have been housed with teenagers aged 14 to 17. Given their friendly and excitable nature, they could potentially thrive with young children, however, we strongly recommend adult supervision at all times.
- Do I have any medical issues? Potentially - Both rats arrived at the sanctuary receiving treatment for respiratory infections, which has now been completed. After their treatment, they were examined by the vet and cleared of any signs of respiratory issues. The vet confirmed that they have good coat condition and healthy weights, with no evidence of mycoplasma around their noses, which is often seen in rats with these problems. The vet also noted that these conditions can occasionally resurface when the animals experience stress. Therefore, once adopted, it's important for new owners to monitor them closely for any signs of stress related flare ups. Additionally, they have not been treated for mites, as the vet found no indications of them, their skin and coats are completely healthy.
- What was the reason for my surrender? Both rats were surrendered to us because they could not bond with their owner’s original group of rats. As a result, their owners felt it was best to find them new homes.

Meet our adorable wrestlers, eager to find their forever home together! These two rats are strongly bonded and must be kept together, they simply can’t be separated.
At ACGAS, we’ve never encountered rats friendlier than these! They are incredibly sociable and full of energy. In their previous home, they were scatter-fed, but they quickly adapt and will happily eat from a bowl.
Their diet includes rat pellets, pasta, crackers, Weetabix, and cereal, all mixed and crunched together for a tasty treat.

– Stone Cold (Grey): The quietest, he brings a slight calm presence but will still venture over to say hello!
– The Rock (Black & White): Always active and curious, he’s the explorer! He’s always the first one over to see what’s going on…. Or what snacks you have!
