CURRENTLY IN FOSTER - AWAITING BOAS SURGERY
About me
- Can I live with other dogs? Yes - I may be able to live with another dog. Since coming into rescue care, I have met a five year old male Spaniel and I am not fazed by the other dogs.
- Can I live with teenagers? Yes
- Can I live with young children? Yes
- Do I have any medical issues? Yes - I have had a full health check at the vets. I currently weigh 10.1kg, although my ideal weight is around 7–7.5kg. I require BOAS surgery because my condition is severe. There are sadly some risks involved, and my heart was too noisy for the vets to assess fully at this stage. This operation is due to take place on the 9th October 2026. My conformation is good for my breed, but my patellas luxate easily. I have received my first vaccination, and my second vaccination is due on the 20th October 2026.
- Can I live with cats? Potentially - Given my gentle nature, I should be able to live with a cat. However, applications will only be considered from homes where the cat has previously lived happily with a dog.
- Am I good on the lead? Yes - I am fantastic on the lead, as I don’t pull and stay close to your feet. Initially, I was nervous of the harness, as I had barely been walked in my previous home because my owner was elderly and unwell. The team have helped me learn that the harness is a positive thing, and with a few tiny crumbs of cheese for encouragement, I am now happy for it to be placed over my head. For now, I will require restricted exercise due to my BOAS issues. Please see my medical section and main bio for further information.
- What was the reason for my surrender? My owner sadly went into hospice care and was no longer able to look after me.
- What am I like when I travel in a vehicle? I travel very well in a crate in the back of a van.
- Do I have any fears? I have shown no fears or concerns around my handlers
- What are my exercise requirements? Under Assessment - pending BOAS surgery

Tubs is our adorable little Pug who is searching for her forever home! 💕
Tubs is incredibly friendly, affectionate and cuddly. She is a true little lovebug who will happily soak up all the attention and cuddles on offer, from anyone!
Tubs does have some medical needs that are currently being addressed, and she is due to undergo BOAS surgery very soon. BOAS is a common condition in flat-faced breeds, and we’re looking forward to helping Tubs feel more comfortable.
Although Tubs hasn’t shown much interest in toys, she is a serious foodie! She has a talent for sneaking her little nose into pockets in search of tasty treats or, will try to paw at your leg until you give in!
When relaxing in our enclosed paddocks, Tubs enjoys pottering around independently. She loves taking her time to sniff, explore and investigate everything at her own pace.
