Angharad Williams Site Manager

Hi, My name is Angharad! (Haz for short)

I am the Site and Sanctuary Manager here at All Creatures. I started working here in July 2019 as an Animal Welfare Assistant. I have worked with animals ever since I was 19 and have had a strong passion for them since a very young age. My dream has always been to work for an Animal Rescue Charity and I feel very lucky to be where I am now. I started working around animals by attending work experience at my local Vets in Abergavenny at the age of 16, I then went on to Volunteer for the RSPCA 3 years later which then helped me to obtain a job as a Kennel Assistant at Usk Boarding Kennels. I then went on to become Supervisor and Head Dog Warden there before applying to work here All Creatures in 2019. I have also worked on a number of farms throughout my adult life.

I love all animals but my area of expertise is mainly including Dogs and Cats. I have a National Diploma in Animal Management, Veterinary Medicine, Farm-stock and Welfare.

I have a golden Labrador named Riley who is usually by my side on Site assisting with the socialisation of our Rescue Dogs.

Benjamin Merrick Animal Welfare Assistant

Hi, my name is Ben!

I first started as a volunteer for ACGAS in the summer of 2013 and after 6 months of helping out I was taken on to do an apprenticeship where I gained my first qualification level 2 in small animal care. A year later on the 24th December I was employed as full time member of staff and have loved every day since and I wouldn’t change what I do for anything. During my time here I have learnt so much about the everyday care of the animals that we have here as well as gaining my Level 3 qualification in animal management. I also met and adopted my cat Milo from the sanctuary.

There isn’t an animal that we have at ACGAS that I do not enjoy spending my time with and am perfectly happy getting stuck into any job that needs doing, from cleaning the goose enclosure to socialising with the cats, dogs and small animals that are waiting for their new homes.

Katie Williams Animal Welfare Assistant

Hi, my name is Katie!

I started as a volunteer for ACGAS in November 2019 whilst completing my foundation degree in Animal Health and Welfare.
I then became an Animal Welfare Assistant in December 2020.
Majority of my knowledge is dog based, I have a keen interest in dog training and behaviour, however you will find me working in all areas of the sanctuary. I enjoy spending my time around all animals, especially the goats, as I've become even more fond of them since working here.
I have my own dog Ruby the cocker spaniel who sometimes accompanies me on farm, and also assists in socialising with new dogs that come into the sanctuary, leading by example with her good manners.
I thoroughly enjoy my position at ACGAS, I am always learning something new, and love helping animals find their perfect forever homes.

Penny Williams Animal Welfare Assistant

Hi! My name is Penny

I started working at the Sanctuary in February 2023. I have always loved animals since I was a child and as soon as I could, I started working on my experience to get a job with animals. I started with going to Usk college and gaining my Level 3 Animal management qualification, before going on to work full time.

I have worked in a wide range of animal jobs, starting with a dog groomers which I still take my dogs to, a pet store, Many Tears Rescue, two doggy daycares, boarding kennels and now here at All Creatures.

I have had many animals in my adult life but currently I have 2 dogs, Pearl and Twinkie. Twinkie comes with me to work to socialise with the smaller dogs at the Sanctuary and to cuddle with everyone she meets. Pearl is quite a nervous dog so she stays at home. I also have 2 cats, Sheldon and Puddles, and a hamster called Soy.

You will see me in all areas of the Rescue but I have a special soft spot for the small animals.

I adore my job and can never stop telling people about all the funny stories of my day, I am very lucky to be a part of this amazing team and I am learning new things everyday.
